Call for papers


start of contentWelcome to DSAI 2020. The 9th International Conference on Software Development and Technologies for Enhancing Accessibility and Fighting Info-exclusion (DSAI 2020) will be held December 2-4, 2020, online. DSAI 2020 is organised in-cooperation with ACM SIGACCESS go to new site.

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) play a major role in our lives. However, ICT development that ignores social inclusion may raise barriers and increase the gap between the average user and those with special needs, instead of contributing to promoting equal rights and opportunities for all.

Elderly and persons with special needs face often multiple disabilities that prevent them from enjoying the benefits of technology and a higher quality of life standards. According to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, technology design should take into account accessibility and usability features for the protection and promotion of the human rights of persons with disabilities, in all policies and programmes.

Paper submission

Papers reporting original research results and experiences are solicited.
Each paper, written in English, should have no more than 8 pages, including references and illustrations. Electronic submissions in accessible PDF electronic format are strongly recommended. Submissions should follow the ACM conference format. All contributions are peer-reviewed by an international Scientific Committee.

DSAI 2020 proceedings will be published in the ACM International Conference Proceedings Series (ISBN: 978-1-4503-8937-2) and  will be archived in the ACM digital library. The conference proceedings will be submitted for indexing to Scopus and Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI Web of Science).

At least one author of accepted submissions must register as the presenter by the early registration deadline. Submissions MUST contain substantial original, unpublished material. Please refer to the ACM policy on plagiarism for guidance.

There is a best paper student award for papers related to data science or mathematics and any topic of the conference funded by the Institut de Matemàtica of Universitat de Barcelonago to new site

ACM International Conference Proceedings Series

DSAI 2020 proceedings will be published in the ACM International Conference Proceedings Series (ISBN: 978-1-4503-8937-2).
Accepted papers will be archived in the ACM Digital Librarygo to new site ACM Digital Library
